iheed operates Quality Assurance (QA) procedures that match the quality control and assurance levels of our accrediting partners so there is full consistency in the integrity of the education provided, regardless of the fact that it has been delivered online, and that the accreditation received can be recognized and trusted internationally. As such, iheed also ensures compliance with local and international quality standards for medical education and training, e.g. World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), but which also vary depending on the region, and on the purpose and scope of the training.
All iheed programs and courses adhere to the quality standards, policies and procedures defined in the iheed Quality Manual. These policies include an external review of content to ensure learning objectives have been met, engagement of an external reviewer to ensure end of semester examinations are administered and graded fairly and consistently, as well as a number of other polices on governance, marks and standards, student charter, and data privacy.
Each Program Director coordinates with the iheed QA Manager to ensure all policies and procedures are followed both during development of the training program and its delivery to students. Each Program Director and the relevant iheed tutors sit on the Examination Board, which meets annually to review student assessment results and award final grades.
